Job Summary: As a key member of the additive manufacturing team, the Supplier Quality Engineer's mission is to drive the global aluminum powder quality of our high performance products with a focus on customers based in the United States.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers to ensure they meet company quality standards and requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier facilities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with quality and technical standards.

  • Develop and implement supplier quality assurance protocols and procedures.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Perform quality control tests on powder materials used in additive manufacturing to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures specific to additive manufacturing processes and ITAR-regulated products.

  • Analyze and interpret test data to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control tests, results, and corrective actions.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement preventive measures.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards including but not limited to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS 9100.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Additive manufacturing, Powder Metallurgy, Materials Science, Quality Management or a related field.

  • Proven +4 years experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy or related industries.

  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques specific to powder materials.

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for quality testing and analysis.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Knowledge of industry standards related to additive manufacturing and powder materials.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the aerospace and defense as well as automotive sector.
