Primary Purpose:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) has ownership and responsibility for all of the day-to-day dealings with assigned customers and serves as the primary contact. This position enters and services orders for aluminum sheet consistent with CSTM Supply Contracts. This position is expected to respond to all inquiries from assigned customers and build relationships with those contacts. Prompt, effective service is provided, including but not limited to quotation preparation, order status inquiry, pricing, scheduling, and product information. ISR participates in developing sales forecasts in conjunction with the Can Sheet Sales Managers. Financial responsibilities include error-free attention to detail and understanding the benefits of product mix in making daily decisions with customers. ISR’s perform all related sales duties required to develop, improve, and/or increase share of existing customer requirements to meet Company’s goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Communicate daily with customers regarding upcoming orders and shipments
- Build relationships with customer contacts to obtain information regarding wants, needs, and priorities
- Work in conjunction with Can Sheet Sales Managers to develop sales forecasts.
- Handle all facets of order entry (new product creation, pricing conditions, incoterm, etc)
- Initiate master data workflow for new customers sold to and shipped to locations including, Incoterms, transportation modes, and regions.
- Develop detailed reports using SAP processing inquiries.
- Communicate with Can Sheet Sales Managers, Supply Chain, Mill Tech Representatives, Shipping, & Finance to resolve customer issues.
- Monitor surplus and aged finished goods.
- Sell surplus by identifying potential customers.
- Negotiate sales price with customers within limits discussed with Can Sheet Sales Managers.
- Communicate metal priorities to supply chain department as needed
- Monitor customer orders daily
- Monitor delivery performance in coordination with logistics department
- Provide Logistics with weekly and monthly forecasts to ensure adequate equipment when needed
- Plan 2-3 customer visits per year
- Other duties as assigned
Leadership competencies, technical skills requirement:
- Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in inside sales, customer service, and/or product scheduling in a manufacturing environment (aluminum industry preferred). Recent College graduates will be considered.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word PC software.
- Must be capable of obtaining customer data and information from SAP programs including Customer Order Status, Forecast, Order Detail, MCR’s, and Order History.
- Results orientation, ownership, accountability, negotiation, problem solving, project and change management, and team working/building
- Excellent communication skills, high level of autonomy, collaboration and interpersonal skills are equally important
- Perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation, and have a good track record working effectively within a team-based environment
- Language fluency in English required. French or German would be a plus.
- Ability to work in cross-organizational and multi-functional teams in a global matrix organization with manufacturing operations and an international mindset.

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a major aluminum sheet supplier for the packaging and automotive markets. The plant has ~1,200 employees and more than 112 acres under room, including five casting units, hot and cold rolling mills, and a slitting and finishing center. Muscle Shoals produces aluminum sheet for use in all three components of beverage cans (body stock, coated end stock, tab stock) and has the capacity to produce over 1 billion pounds per year of finished aluminum coils. The plant also produces aluminum automotive coils to be processed at our CALP line in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Muscle Shoals’ world-class recycling center is able to recycle the equivalent of 20 billion aluminum cans per year.
